I love physics. I also love Science Olympiad, which is why I hope to be next year’s Physical Sciences coordinator. My interest in physics started when I was first introduced to Stephen Hawking and Carl Sagan, and I plan to further my interest by taking honors physics next year. I also have a background in math, which is usually helpful in physics. This background includes doing two math science fair projects (in addition to a physics project), taking calculus (Roger, don’t be antagonized by this), and beating Obrad in math team by one point (total, not percent :( ). ← How do you end parenthetical statements with emoticons? Whatever. Therefore, I believe that I am fit to lead the SO team to victory in PS events such as Optics, Sounds of Music, and Thermodynamics (I did Thermo this year, w00t!). I plan to prepare members for the events thoroughly by supplementing the SO curriculum with some of my boundless physics resources. My bff Richard Feynman and I can prepare us for optics and thermodynamics, and I could also use my musical background to help with the logistics of Sounds of Music. Thus, if elected, my dedication to Science Olympiad will surely result in success (and hopefully quell the controversy surrounding “negative” SO school newspaper articles), and I am sure if we work hard enough, we can beat all the other schools and go to states. ~~ William ♥

Alright I’m gonna keep this short because I’m sure that the small number of kids who actually care enough to read this have better things to do. Here’s why I should be P.S.C
Participant in the Science Olympiad Regional Competition for two years
Participant in the club for three years
Participant in physical science events both years I’ve competed
Won 4th place in Microbe Mission this year
Currently taking Honors Physics and AP Biology, taking AP Physics C and AP Chemistry next year
Rising Senior, so most experienced/has most capability of leadership
Cabrini College Class of 2017 (actually, this will probably hurt my case, so never mind)
Recently knighted by Queen Elizabeth II
70.0 GPA
Invented fire, the wheel, and the kamehameha
In all seriousness, I truly believe that I am the most qualified candidate for the job. Thanks for reading, and if you’re looking for something else to distract you from schoolwork, I advise eating a bucket of butter.
